A tangy scent referring to lemon juice; rough note.
Zesty and sour yet ever-refreshing: lemon is a note that packs a punch. Typically used as a tangy top note, lemon brings a vibrant, cheerful quality to accords (most notably in eau de cologne). A bright scent—trapping sweet, sparkling sunshine in a bottle.
The lemon bush is native to the Far East and first arrived in the Mediterranean region during the Crusades.
Lemon essence is predominantly crafted in California, Argentina, Sicily, Brazil and Spain. Its essence is procured through cold expression of the peel, while the juice of the fruit is used to produce citric acid for food products.
